Backstage at the Ballet

Backstage at the Ballet is a highly-successful artist-in-residence program. You’re invited to work with artists from Lincoln Midwest Ballet Company in 3 different learning stations. Hand-on activities will be provided in the areas of choreography, make-up, and costuming. Try on costumes, put on stage make-up, learn ballet moves, and see what it’s like to run through a production. Through these activities, participants will learn about the art of dance, especially classical ballet, the technical elements of dance and live theater that combine to create the production of The Nutcracker at the Lied Center. Top off your experience by attending Go Nuts at the Nutcracker (see page 15) on either December 15 or 16!
