artVenture 2013 Collaborations

This series runs from October through May. artVenture is an annual event celebrating creativity and collaboration. Small groups of girls are matched up with professional artists in their communities. Together, they create a piece of art from conception to completion for the artVenture auction. All proceeds from the auction will benefit Girl Scouts Spirit of Nebraska. Through this project, girls learn a new art medium or technique, work closely with an artist, usually in their studio, and get to know other girls interested in the same art form. Most girls also make a small piece of art to take home as a keepsake of their experience. All participating girls and their families are invited to an art opening and reception where they can view their artwork on display and celebrate their contribution.
