The Knights of Ak-Sar-Ben
The Knights of Ak-Sar-Ben Foundation is a 115 year-old civic Foundation with the mission of “leveraging collective business leadership to build a more prosperous Heartland.” Annually the Foundation awards nearly $500,000 in college scholarships to area youth and supports grants to communities across Nebraska and Western Iowa.
River City Rodeo & Stock Show
Ak-Sar-Ben’s River City Rodeo is home to the Justin Boots Championships of the Wrangler Million Dollar Tour. www.rivercityrodeo.com Ak-Sar-Ben’s River City Rodeo & Stock Show is a family celebration of the region’s heritage. The event has three core events: the Justin Boots Championships aired by GAC, the Ak-Sar-Ben 4-H Livestock Exposition open to ten states, and the Douglas County Fair.

Douglas County Fair
Celebrating 153 years, the Douglas County Fair is held in conjunction with the River City Rodeo & Stock Show.
Anyone may enter an item from anywhere in the State in the Fair; from garden produce to flowers to clothing to baked goods, there is a category for everyone!

Recognitions: Participation Ribbon for Fair entries, “Fun” patch for participating in two of three events: walk in the Heritage Parade, held Saturday, September 24th through downtown Omaha; enter an item in the Douglas County Fair; or volunteer to work at the event!
