The American Red Cross, a humanitarian organization led by volunteers and guided by its Congressional Charter and the Fundamental principles of the International Red Cross Movement, will provide relief to victims of disasters and help people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies.

CPR Made Simple

Non-Certified, Skill-Based CPR Training-this skills-based course will teach you basic emergency care steps including: how to perform CPR and the use of an automated external defibrillator before the arrival of EMS.
Who: Cadettes, Seniors, Ambassadors, Adults

Cost: $20 per person

Babysitter Training

If you’re 11 to 15 years old, you can get the knowledge, skills and confidence to care for infants and school-age children. Babysitter’s Training shows you how to:

Respond to emergencies and illnesses with first aid, rescue breathing and other appropriate care.
Make decisions under pressure.
Communicate with parents to learn household rules.
Recognize safety and hygiene issues.
Manage young children.
Feed, diaper and care for infants.
Course covers leadership, safe play, and Infant & Child CPR!
Students must complete the Infant and Child CPR portion to receive the Babysitter’s Training certification.

Longfellow’s WHALE Tales

(Daisies, Brownies, Juniors or Cadettes)

An easy-to-follow lesson plan supports classroom water safety training. Each session features an animated video, plus activities, posters and worksheets.

First Aid for Children Today (FACT)

(Daisies or Brownies)

The FACT Critter Clan leads kids through health promotions and injury prevention activities. A fun environmental theme teaches safety in a non-threatening way. Topics include hygiene and health habits, first aid, personal safety and injury prevention.

Basic Aid Training (BAT)

(Brownies or Juniors)

Children learn emergency response skills, rescue breathing and ways to prevent and care for choking, wounds, nosebleeds, falls and animal bites. Topics include responses for safety, poisoning, water accidents, substance abuse and more.
