Ballet Nebraska
Girl Scouts are invited to attend dance performances presented by Ballet Nebraska, Omaha’s professional ballet company, at special reduced ticket prices. Girl Scouts can also participate in special FREE workshops taught by Ballet Nebraska dancers.
Performances
DRACULA- combines the chills of the classic horror tale with a visually rich, fast-paced story that moves through such settings as an intimidating Transylvanian castle and an opulent Venetian ball. This performance is recommended for grades 5 and up.
When: Friday, October 28 at 8:00 p.m.*
Where: The Orpheum Theater, 409 S. 16th St., Omaha
THE NUTCRACKER- fresh, lively, and entertaining version of the ballet that has become a family holiday tradition.
When: Friday, December 2 at 7:30 p.m., or Saturday, March 31 at 2 p.m.*
Where: IWCC Arts Center, 2700 College Road, Council Bluffs, IA; Omaha Music Hall, 1804 Capitol Ave., Omaha
MOMENTUM- a mixed-repertory program of short ballets that offers dynamic dance in a variety of styles. Featured ballets will include Cleopatra and DanceSport.
When: Friday, March 30 at 8 p.m., or Saturday, March 31 at 2 p.m.*
Where: Joslyn Art Museum’s Witherspoon Concert Hall, 2200 Dodge St., Omaha

Workshops
Girl Scouts are invited to attend a special workshop with Ballet Nebraska. No dance experience required. Girls will have the chance to meet a professional company dancer and learn dance steps from the show!
When: Fall Workshop- Sunday, September 25, at 2 p.m.; Spring Workshop- Sunday, April 15 at 2 p.m.*
Where: Motion 41 Dance, 2819 S. 125 Ave., Omaha
Cost: FREE! Space is limited, must pre-register.
Register: Pre-register by emailing your name, age and parent contact information (phone, email, address) to workshop@balletnebraska.org. A troupe leader may also pre-register the entire group.
Recognitions: Girls attending a Ballet Nebraska performance and/or workshop may complete requirements toward earning dance or performance related recognitions.
Capacity: Minimum 10/Maximum 35
Who: Daisies, Brownies, Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors, Ambassadors (The Dracula performance is recommended for grades 5 and up).
