Brownie Try-It Workshops

Friends are fun have a great time earning this fun filled try-it. Girls will make friendship bracelets, their own stationary and see just how much they know about each other.
Listening to the Past

Puppets, Dolls & Plays
Dolls are one of the oldest toys known to man and can be found throughout the world. Learn the history of dolls, some amazing trivia facts and of course make your own puppets and dolls that you can take home.
Science in Action
Let loose your inner Scientist as you explore the world of science. Interactive experiments dealing with chemical and physical reactions, colors and more make this a try-it to remember.
Through the Years
Did you know that early Brownies had to wear a dress to every meeting? That a button makes an awesome toy and it also meant you were cute. With this try-it your troop will discover what life was once like for girls their age.
Junior Badge Workshops
Creative Solutions
This workshop is sure to spark the leader within. Learn about amazing women in local history and how they helped to make our community better. Rewrite a fairy tale, come up with your own secrete language and much more.
Folk Art
By utilizing the museum’s Photo Archive department you’ll be able to learn about how people use to live, dress and what they did for fun. We’ll also uncover the reason behind why people didn’t smile in old photos and just why they included the cow in a family portrait.
Local Lore
Discover Omaha! Look at historic newspapers, tour the Museum, learn about our founding families and find out how we came from a small town of 24 citizens to one of the fastest growing cities in the Midwest.
My Heritage
Omaha was known as a melting pot community. Immigrants from all over settled and started new lives right here. My Heritage will help you learn more about your family and get you well on the way to recording your own history.
Science Sleuth
Are you an arch, whorl or loop, learn what your finger print say about you. Find out what a simple machine is and how we use them in everyday life and much more as you become a true Science Sleuth.
