History comes to life at the Archway! Experience our great Nebraska history and complete fun badge work at our exciting museum/show over I-80 at Kearney, NE.
Brownies Go West
Brownies will earn the Listening to the Past Try-It and receive an Archway overnight patch while learning about one of America’s greatest eras, the trails era. Scouts will do evening trail chores, make their own paper bonnet for the trail, go on a candle lantern tour of the Archway at night to hear about trail travelers, and will share a story their troop has read about a young trail traveler. Assignment before the program required.
Who: Brownies
When: Friday, March 5, 2010 Program begins at 7 p.m. Friday night and ends at 11 a.m. Saturday morning. A hot breakfast is provided.
Capacity: Minimum 35 scouts for the program to run. (Can be made up of multiple troops)

Mother Earth
Juniors will learn about the role of the young girl in the Pawnee tribe, the tribe whose homeland was central Nebraska, and the Lakota (Sioux) tribe. Scouts will learn about “Mother Earth” and her importance to both tribes. This program was developed with the aid of the Pawnee and Lakota tribes.
Who: Juniors
When: Friday, March 12, 2010. Program begins at 7 p.m. Friday night and ends at 11 a.m. Saturday morning. A hot breakfast is provided.
Capacity: Minimum 35 scouts, Maximum 75 (Can be made up of multiple troops)
Recognitions: Junior Badge – some activities toward the Earth Connections badge.

Chaperones: A five scouts to one adult ratio is required.
Refunds: Deadline for reservations and payment is three weeks before the program date. There are no refunds unless the Archway cancels the program due to weather.
