Egad! Science is locally owned, specializing in science education for children in elementary and pre-school. We love to share the fun of science with adults and children alike!
Science Workshops
We offer more than 45 science workshops designed to challenge and entertain participants. Each session includes one terrific scientist-instructor; lots of fun, interactive and age-appropriate experiments; all experiment supplies; and a take-home project or keepsake for each child.
Who: Daisies, Brownies, Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors, Ambassadors
When: Leaders should contact us to arrange a time and date.
Cost: Workshops cost $10 per girl, with a minimum charge of $130. Payment is due seven days before each scheduled workshop, unless otherwise arranged.
Recognitions: Depending upon the workshop chosen, girls may complete requirements for the following badges and Journeys:
Brownies: Senses, Household Elf, Home Scientist badges, It’s Your World-Change It Journey, It’s Your Planet-Love It! Journey;
Juniors: Detective badge, It’s Your Planet-Love It! Journey
Capacity: No minimum, Maximum 30.
Where: We will come to your normal troop meeting site. For meeting sites outside the Omaha metro area, a mileage charge applies.
Registration: Leaders should arrange workshops for their entire troop. Please contact us at least ten days before the desired workshop date.
Chaperones: Follow Safety Activity Checkpoints.
Refunds: Refunds are available for workshops cancelled seven days in advance. In bad weather, we can reschedule workshops at no extra charge.
