El Museo Latino

El Museo Latino opened on May 5, 1993 as the first Latino art and history museum and cultural center in the Midwest. Exhibits include permanent and traveling exhibitions. In conjunction with exhibitions, the museum offers special lectures, gallery talks, performances and concerts. Art, music and dance classes are available year-round.

Dance

Learn, about traditional Folklórico dances from Mexico during a hands-on workshop. Explore the origins and influences of steps and music and learn a traditional dance.

Jewelry

Design jewelry pieces you can wear and learn about different cultures through jewelry. Try a variety of techniques and materials and learn about Huichol art and migajón (traditional Mexican bread dough).

Hispanic Heritage

Register: Advance registration & payment due two weeks in advance. Call 402.731.1137 to schedule. After verbal confirmation, complete and return the registration form on page 53, along with full payment, to: El Museo Latino, 4701 South 25 Street, Omaha, NE 68107.
