Go Fish Girls!

A Girl Scout Fishing Program
Introduce your Girl Scouts to the exciting sport of fishing, a sport they’ll never outgrow!
Go Fish Girls! is a Girl Scout Community Collaborator program that teaches Girl Scouts everything they need to know to catch a fish!
During the program, the Girl Scouts will be instructed on various fishing topics in an outdoor classroom setting. Topics will include water safety, fish identification, getting to know your fishing gear, bait and lure options, Fish CPR (Catch, Photo and Release) and land & water conservation.
Following the classroom session, the girls, leaders and chaperones will go lakeside and use their newly learned skills during a hands-on Go Fish Girls! fishing workshop. The scouts will practice casting, learn about bait at “Worm Camp”, learn the steps necessary to catch a fish, when to excitedly yell, “Fish ON!” and how to safely reel in and release their fish.
