Rose Theater
The Rose Theater offers a variety of workshops taught by professional teaching artists that are designed to help Scouts learn to express themselves through the dramatic arts.
COURAGE Workshop
Girls will be challenged to expand their creative horizons while using their acting tools (body, voice, imagination). The workshop includes theater games and a behind-the-scenes tour of The Rose Theater.

MAKING FRIENDS Workshop
Girls will explore the job of a professional actress by working on pantomiming skills, voice exercises and character development. Warm-up techniques, theater games, and improvisation will be included. As a grand finale, the girls will perform a play on stage!

PLAYING THE PAST Workshop
Girls will learn how to develop great characters by exploring their acting tools (body, voice and imagination) and practicing the most effective ways of using them. Following the workshop, they will attend a Rose main stage production.

When: Select Saturdays from 12-1:30 pm, followed by a 2 pm show.

Cost: $75 for groups of 25 of fewer, plus $10 per person for a show ticket. The $10 ticket is an $8 discount off the standard $18 ticket price for “A Year with Frog and Toad” and a $15 discount off the standard $25 ticket price for “Madeline’s Christmas.” Everyone attending the show (scouts, parents, and chaperones) must have a ticket. Rates vary for groups of 25 or more.

SCREENWRITER & TROUPE PERFORMER Workshops
Girls will explore the many artistic careers available in theater by working with professionals already employed in the field. Three different 2 1/2 hour workshops are available. Each
fulfills one skill builder requirement.
