The Salvation Army is Doing the Most Good to Transform Lives!
Help Fight Hunger!
Join the Girl Scouts and The Salvation Army to fight hunger! Of all the problems our communities face, hunger is one that can be faced head on.
Want to know how you can help? It’s simple and easy this year. Ask your friends, relatives and neighbors to fill grocery bags with nonperishable food items and leave it on their front porches for you to pick up and deliver to The Salvation Army food pantries. The Salvation Army will provide donation door hangers along with information to help you succeed!
Who: Daisies, Brownies, Juniors, Seniors and Ambassadors.
When: Dates are as follows:
Friday, September 14, 2012: Registration deadline.
Door hangers will be mailed to the Leaders. Girl Scouts can personally decorate the door hangers before distributing.
Saturday, October 13, 2012: Girl Scouts distribute door hangers to their family, friends and neighbors.
Saturday, October 20, 2012: Girl Scouts collect grocery bags of nonperishable food items left on the front porches of their family, friends and neighbors. Girl Scouts bring the bags of donated food items to the predetermined Salvation Army Corps location listed below between 10am – 2pm.

3612 Cuming Street – Omaha, NE
You may help those in need in your own community. On your registration form, just let us know for which Corps you will be collecting food items.
Cost: Free!
Capacity: The Salvation Army welcomes your help in doing the most good and encourages all Girl Scouts to participate no matter how large or small your troop size. Individual scouts are welcome to participate.

Notes: We have a brand new fun patch! The patches have been made especially for the Girl Scouts and will be awarded to all participating Scouts. In addition, each participant will receive a certificate of recognition for helping us in “Doing The Most Good.” These will be mailed to the Leaders. The troop with the most donated nonperishable food items will be given a pizza party!
