Springfield Artworks is a working glass and fiber studio overseen by glass artist Glenn Trembley and fiber artist, Margie Trembley.
Felted Soap Workshop
Learning to work with wool is a fun activity. In this class, you will use yarn, wool or alpaca to wet felt individual soaps. This fun activity is something you can repeat over and over at home. The finished piece makes a great gift for the scouts to give.
Who: Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors, Ambassadors, Adults
Cost: $15 per scout or adult includes all supplies.
Capacity: Minimum 4, Maximum 8, please sign up early so you don’t miss the fun.
Needle Felted Beret Workshop
Learn to needle felt your own beret in the comfortable setting of a true artists’ studio. Bring your imagination and ideas for your design. Learn about the qualities of wool & how to use a special needle to attach the wool to the beret. Once learned, you will be on your way to more fun projects on your own.
Who: Seniors, Ambassadors, Adults
Cost: $48 includes beret, yarn and felting needle.
You will be able to use our hat form to work on your beret in the workshop.
Capacity: Minimum 2, Maximum 5
Refunds: No refunds the day of the event or after. However registration fees are transferable.
Creating Art in Glass
The girls will learn many techniques in creating glass art objects. There is a wide array of glass types that can be used that will spike the imagination. Work will be kiln fired.
Who: Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors, Ambassadors
Cost: Fused glass plate, bowl or vase ($28), Pendent ($19), Tile ($14), Drawer Pull ($16), Dragon Fly ($22), Candle Dish ($35)
Capacity: Minimum 6, Maximum 12

When: During school year after school & on weekdays. No classes in January or Saturdays, Sundays or Mondays. Gallery hours: 1-6pm Tues-Friday,
Saturday 11am-4:30pm.
