Money Manager
Learn how to spend your money wisely on your clothing wardrobe at Younkers. Learn the difference between wants and needs by selecting an outfit of your choice using coupons and comparison shopping. After you select your outfit that fits your budget, you will be able to model your outfit in a fashion show at Younkers.
Who: Brownies
Recognition: Girls will complete requirements of the Money Manager badge.
Notes: Girls will be given $30 pretend money to spend on an outfit. They will need to use coupons and comparison shop in order to select their outfit. They may select just a top, pant, jean or entire outfit as long as they only spend $30! Each girl will model their outfit in a fashion show.
Younkers Savvy Shopper Workshop
Learn how to add items to your wardrobe as a smart consumer. Explore your needs and wants, find out what makes people happy (or not) with what they buy and learn how to decide what to buy.
Who: Juniors
Recognition: Girls will complete requirements of the Savvy Shopper badge.
Notes: Girls will learn how to add new clothing items to their current wardrobe. Wear your favorite top, jeans, skirt or shorts to Younkers. You will learn how to add a new item to your favorite item to make a new outfit. Your troop will be able to model their new created outfits in a fashion show at Younkers!
When: September through May
