Troop Leaders

A Rewarding Pathway for Adults
“A leader,” girls say, “Is defined not only by the qualities and skills she has, but also by how those qualities and skills are used to make a difference in the world.”
Being a Girl Scout Troop Leader is an experience to treasure. You will learn and grow together with a group of eager, enthusiastic, excited and sometimes exasperating girls. These girls are seeking role models– just like you– to help them make decisions and embark on new adventures.
To become a Troop Leader, fill out the bottom portion of the Join Girl Scouts form. Keep in mind that you do not have to have a daughter in Girl Scouting to become a leader.
Next Steps to Becoming a Leader
After you fill out the required forms, go through background screen and are placed with a troop, Girl Scouts Spirit of Nebraska requires all leaders, co-leaders, and assistant leaders to complete two trainings BEFORE meeting with girls.
