What will you create?

Welcome to artVenture 2012! Explore your creative side. Working in small groups along with other Girl Scouts and professional artists from your community, you’ll create a unique piece of art for the artVenture 2012 auction!

New for 2012! All girls wanting to participate in an artVenture collaboration must complete a Youth Artist Application and submit with the $5.00 application fee on or before the deadline, December 1, 2011. Applications should be mailed to: GSSON-artVenture 2012, Attn:  Lori Williamson, 2121 S. 44th Street, Omaha, NE 68105.

On the application, girls are asked to list their top three choices of media. Some examples of media include painting, pottery, glass fusion, silversmithing, bead making, sculpture, photography, hot glass, printmaking, paper arts, textile arts and drawing. Collaborative matches will be made and notifications will be sent in mid-December. Collaborations will take place January through March, 2012, with auctions taking place in the spring. All participating girls will receive an artVenture 2012 participation patch and be invited to see their artwork on display at an artVenture reception.
