Recognitions

recognitions

Wearing Success on Your Sash (or vest or tunic)

Your recognitions tell your story.  They show what you’ve learned, where you’ve been and what you have done.  They are a record of your adventures and accomplishments and are proudly displayed on your Girl Scout uniform. At each stage of your Girl Scout Journey you will have the opportunity to earn different recognitions. Here are just a few:

Earned Age-Level Awards

Daisy Learning Petals

For Daisies and their friends, it’s all about learning the basics and the Daisy Learning Petals are designed to do just that.  These recognitions demonstrate that you have learned to be “Honest and Fair,” “Friendly and Helpful,” “Courageous and Strong,” and so much more.

Cadette/Senior/Ambassador Interest Projects (IP)

By the time you’ve reached Cadettes you’ve already learned a lot, but there is still ground to cover.  IPs are your chance to deeply explore the topics that interest you most.  Whether it’s computers, volleyball or the performing arts, you’ll find an IP (or many) that will appeal to you, or to you and a group of your BFs.

Religious Awards

Girl Scouts are encouraged to seek out and individually fulfill requirements for the particular religious awards offered by their own faith. We can support your efforts.  You will work with an advisor who might be a priest, minister, rabbi or other designated person who can assist you as you work toward this recognition.
